New Developments

Since the day we opened the doors to the new building in September 2007 there have been a number of new developments that have enhanced our students’ experience at Thor College.

We have added a music program to the elementary level. A meal plan has been implemented to allow our students to have hot, healthy lunches. The TCPA have raised funds for and parents have made a number of donations to the specialty rooms such as the library, science lab, art room, and stage.

We have received a full complement of books for the library, a lighting and sound system for the stage, microscopes and lab equipment for the science lab, and art supplies & equipment for the art room. These contributions have been numerous and enhance the education of our students.

In the future we will be incorporating more technology into the classroom. We have many computers throughout the school especially for the senior students. Our teachers incorporate whiteboard technology to enhance their lectures and obtain more student involvement during the lecture. Our students have the opportunity to utilize computers to enhance the presentation of all aspects of their work and become strong participants of the information era.

The new building and its many facilities in our country location have only strengthened our programs, clubs, and athletics. This has given our students a greater opportunity to expand their horizons and prepare them for the many challenges ahead, while remaining conscious of their actions and their environment.
