Thor Library Before and After

The main changes in the library are the addition of colour and warmth, which was possible by creating separate work areas and incorporating bright pieces of furniture and accessories.

As you can see in the photos, most of the existing pieces were kept and only the chairs were changed. The new library has three different areas now. One area is for the younger children and another for working on the computers or crafts. The third one is for quiet reading and relaxation.

The addition of the yellow colour on the walls and the different textures, like the baskets and fabric, makes the room cozier. Also, the artwork made by the students gives a more personal feeling to this makeover.

The result is a room full of life where the kids can let their imaginations soar and provides a comfortable place for hours and hours of reading.

We at Thor College would like to thank the TCPA for transforming our library into a room of colour and warmth that encourages reading, research, and learning.

We must acknowledge the extra efforts of Tina Petrilli, Rima Najar, and Belen Ramirez in organizing and redecorating the library. The students and staff are benefiting immensely from Mrs. Ramirez's vision of a revitalized library.
